Allodoxaphobia is the fear of other people's opinions.

It's a rare social phobia that's characterised by an irrational and overwhelming fear of

what other people think. Hmm whatever!


People are more creative in the shower.

When we take a warm shower, we experience an increased dopamine flow that makes us more creative. I do my best paintings in the shower.

 

In 2014, there was a Tinder match in Antarctica. Two research scientists matched on the global dating app in the most remote part of the world - a man working at the United States Antarctic McMurdo Station and a woman camping a 45-minute helicopter ride away. What are the chances?!

I would say the chances are quite high if your main hobby is recovering from frostbite.



Maltese sayings:


The Maltese word for June is Ġunju. As the sixth month of the year it is pronounced similarly to June in English, with the initial "Ġ" sound pronounced like the English letter ‘J’.

European Archaeology Days- Malta. 12th & 13th June 2026



European Archaeology Days are once again being organised, associations across Malta will be highlighting the fascinating study of its archaeology.


Digs, tours, talks & more across Malta including:

  • On-site tour at Latnija – Discover Malta’s latest prehistoric find!

  • Underwater Open Day at Salina – Dive into history with snorkelling & 360° virtual tours.

  • Public lecture by Becky Xerri – Explore deepwater archaeology & the Xlendi park.

  • Guided tours at the National Museum of Archaeology & Kordin II with access to Tarxien


Mamma Mia!

Mamma Mia Island, Skopelos, Greece is the greenest island in the Aegean Sea and the second largest island in the Sporades group. 67% of its surface is covered in pine forests, creating a magical place that looks like a paradise.

Skopelos, Greece or Kalokairi (summer) as it was called in the movie, is the main Mamma Mia Greek location.

These locations belong to Skopelos Island:

  • The wedding scene chapel is at St. Ioannis beach, if you have the energy to climb the 100 steps!

  • The main beach of the movie is in Kastani

  • The view from the house can be found on Glysteri beach

  • scenes were filmed in Amarandos Cove, Milia Beach, and Skopelos Chora..If you fancy following in Donna’s (Mamma Mia’s) footsteps, then overlooking Skopelos harbour and the Aegean Sea, Is the Aeolos Hotel which offers air-conditioned rooms with furnished balconies.

Animal Health Certificates (AHCs)


From Wednesday 22 April new EU rules have come into effect covering how GB residents can travel to the EU with their pets.  People can still travel to the EU with their pets, but they are strongly encouraged to check the latest guidance. EU pet passports issued to GB residents before 22 April 2026 are no longer valid documents for entry to the EU.

Owners resident in Great Britain should get an Animal Health Certificate for their dog, cat or ferret(s) from a veterinary clinic that offers official pet travel services if they’re travelling from Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland) to an EU country.    

Animal Health Certificates (AHCs) now last longer once you arrive, but they are single‑use, you will need a new AHC for each trip from GB to the EU.

Julie went for a take on a

non-alcoholic cocktail Bushwacker: A frozen cocktail with coconut cream, coffee liqueur, rum, and cacao- minus the coffee liqueur substituted with iced coffee and a rum substitute of white grape juice.












Verne however had a mishap with his, fruit just is not his thing, but he did try the Cheeky  Monkey:  Absolut Citron, orange juice & orange bitters. Seems he just cannot handle it.
